Jonathon Pulliam is an accomplished educator, writer, school leader, and community builder with a passion for transforming education and addressing systemic inequities. After graduating from Tuskegee University with honors, he embarked on a teaching career in Brooklyn, NY, and New Orleans, LA, where he experienced firsthand the potential of education as a catalyst for social change.

Working within some of the nation's largest charter school networks, Jonathon witnessed the stark inequities faced by Black students, students of color, and Black teachers. Inspired to make a difference, he embraced the roles of teacher leader and activist, infusing his classrooms with love and a commitment to social change. He has actively contributed to organizations such as The United Negro College Fund, Edutopia, The National Black Male Educators Convening, and The MS/LA Male Educators of Color Alliance.

At the core of Jonathon's work is his research at the intersection of Black male teacher development, urban public schools, Black boyhood, and critical pedagogy. His investigations shed light on and provide insights into fostering inclusive and empowering learning environments.

Jonathon holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English with honors from Tuskegee University and a Master of Education degree in Urban Education from Liberty University. Currently, he is pursuing an Ed.D. degree at Xavier University of Louisiana, where he continues to expand his knowledge and expertise in educational leadership.

With a remarkable blend of experience, research, and dedication to educational equity, Jonathon brings a unique perspective and transformative approach to his work.
